Just a comment really rather than a discussion.
I usually type long web names into my Google toolbar, Moneysavingexpert.com is a bit long after all. I'm a simple Geordie
Most of the 1st page of Google results are related to MSE including the 'pure' web address as the top result.
But above that is a Google ad for MSE.com.
Why doesn't Martin save money and not pay for those Google ads
There is a bit of irony here me thinks :rotfl:

Hi
As this thread isn't related to Savings & Investments, I'll move it to the Site Feedback board where it's more likely to be seen.Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere(please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. If you have any questions about this policy please email abuse@moneysavingexpert.com.Crabman0 -
Simple answer. Sadly many people search for Money Expert looking for this site (over 50,000 a month) to ensure they know about the site i have a cheap advert on that term - but the Google 'broad matching' feature means it then goes on the site name too. Rather frustating!

Change it to exact match, or run an exclusion on it instead then Martin.
Impressions are PPC of course and you could always change the text too
"see below 'n' clk that instead, please folks"
It's branding after all, so you won't be losing out that much...
Test n measure, test n measure.. If you ain't measuring then you ain't testin...
Sorry... there's a lot of big wig financial's on the site and SEM is mine field, so I thought I'd stick my two pence in...
Other factors are CR's over course, but that's more complicated...0
