Travel Insurance

Which Insurance companies do you recommend for a single trip holiday insurance for someone with pre-existing medical condition?
Thank you

  • Hi

Would recommend trying an Insurance Broker, who will deal with a few insurers who do Travel Insurance.

A Broker offers knowledge of the market, expertise, choice and options, so hopefully will be able to meet your needs and a competitive premium.

    Dear hunsbury

I usually find MRL Direct Insurance to be good with providing insurance for pre-existing medical conditions.

Let me know how you go on. Best wishes.
  • Hi there, I have used Boots travel insurance in the past as I have epilepsy and asthma. They cover as long as no problems in the 12 months prior to taking out the policy and are helpful. Either that or depending on your medical problem you may be able to access proffessional organisations - for example I have used british epilepsy site in the past who had article on insurance companies etc. Good luck

I have pre-exsisting medical conditions and have always used marks & spencers
  • Boots and M&S? Neither of them insure or administrate policies, it's just name branding insurance, so adds no value or expertise to the insurance supply chain.

Would always recommend contacting an Insurance Broker, who will offer knowledge of the market, choice and expertise. You probably won't have to deal with a call routing system, and your business will be appreciated.
