Where do I stand with leashold flat and new roof bill

There ate 12 flats in our 3 story block and we moved in 3 years ago.
we are also on the market
Just had a letter though about residents meeting (council) and top nof the agends is a new roof as the old one is at the end of the shelf life!
help, is there any legal redress givien the length of time we have been here

Nope, unless when you bought the flat the council gave a guarantee when your solicitor made enquiries about future major works that there would be no works whatsoever carried out within the following 3 yrs.
It's quite normal when living in well kept ex local authority blocks to have to fork out for maintanence, repairs & redecoration of the communal parts every 2 years or so.
Looking at your signature, looks like your wings will be clipped somewhat due to your share of the payment.

The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.0 -
