They seemed to have three cars as well - I don't even have one!

If they didn't have a car, how would they get to the shops to buy their fags?

Do try to keep up Melissa.

#1. The people that run these "sell your house and rent back" companies are generally lying thieves and are best avoided

#2. This time next year house prices in general will be lower than they are now

#3. Cheap houses are a good thing not a bad thing

And if you play you cards right, after a lifetime of indolence, you get a pension too! And tax credits to top it up as if you'd saved £1/4million over your lifetime.

and that's been open to Fraud
The scam operates by wheelchair-users ordering exclusive vehicles, usually available only on a waiting list, and making a minor modification, such as adding a knob on the steering wheel. The modification is then removed and the vehicle is sold at an instant profit of several thousand pounds, while undercutting the showroom retail price.

I appreciate that Generali, and it doesn't please me, but we're taking the michael out of a couple of people who need to use mobility scooters here and semi-accusing them of living the high life  I'll get flamed for being pc or whatever but it just doesn't seem right with what look like a genuinely vulnerable couple.

I'm getting flamed for being non-pc on another thread anyway, so I guess I'm even :D

Depends which ones, some seem quite lucrative.
But you need to be in a position to leverage it to the max. So right house, right area, right access to transport/services - maximise your freebies (courses, travel etc).
Then get the right bennies too.

No point doing it and being single, in a cold, damp private bedsit, in a 6-house hamlet with 1 bus a week and nothing for 20 miles.
