Anyone use Auctiva for ebay listings?

Just came across this site: http://www.auctiva.com/

It's a free ebay auction management tool , you can add free templates, schedule listing etc etc but what really attracted me to it was that they host images for you fso you can have multiple images on your ebay auctions at no extra change.

They are an official EBAY developer so i dont expect them to mess around with my ebay username and password - they use an ebay 'token' to get to your ebay account so i dont think the password is physically stored on their servers.

What I wanted to know is, does anyone use auction managers like this site? I only really signed up because of the ability to have multiple images in your auction - I know you can alternatively use Imageshack but just wondered if others used this site and why you found it useful?

  • I use it and I do actually love it. There are a good selection of templates and you can schedule your listings to start without having to pay the 6p ebay charge you.

I do however have one major gripe - you list an auction and it take 6 hours to show up on ebay....to the minute. So if I list on a Sunday at 6.10pm, it doesn't show up on ebay until 12.10am although your end time is still 6.10pm.

This happens regardless of whether you do a scheduled or immediate listing so in effect you lose 6hrs of potential views. This is a major problem from reading the auctiva community boards.....usual story as well that ebay blame auctiva, auctiva blames ebay and nothing gets sorted.

If you can cope with that, I would definitely recommend it.

i didn't know that and i suppose it can be annoying but this should be pointed out clearly by Auctiva. I have just posted my first auction using Auctiva and the only reason I really used it was for the picture slideshows as it saved a few pence on addional pics via ebay.
I don't think I'll be in a hurry to use Auctiva again - i usually use Turbo Lister which is good enough for my needs.

edit: my item has appeared on ebay within minutes. I guess they must have fixed the issue?

It appears in 'My Ebay' and if I search using the item number, but not in the category under newly listed items, if you know what I mean.

I have had it like this for months now - if I list something that I know will go quickly, I just use ebay's selling form.

I've had similar delays when listing via Turbo Lister so I'm inclined to believe that it is an Ebay problem rather than an Auctiva one.

I switched to Auctiva a while ago partly for the multiple supersize photos, and the scrolling gallery they insert - and partly because Turbo Lister was getting so glitchy that it wasn't worth my time using it any more. I've had no major complaints really - a couple of minor problems, but nothing compared to the hassle Turbo Lister was giving me. Sad state of affairs when a 3rd party listing tool is more reliable than eBay's own, but that's what I have found.

Yeah i get the same problem with delayed listings :(

But i Only use it for the slider of my other items now, i dont find that personally the templates make me any more inclined to buy a product so i dont bother, i dont have an ebay shop as im a regular ebayer so i dont see the need, i just find the slider does help alot with getting more people to see items youre selling FOR FREE! (my favourite word!) it really does help when selling things that link like CD's or Jewellery Clothes etc

i think the 'delay' in listing is a general EBAY problem as I have found similar when using Turbo Lister and even Ebay directly itself. I do like Auctiva simply because of the image gallery features.

i have used both but auctiva really worries me sometimes, especially the first time when it took all my listings down for a day.
again i use it for the slide show underneath my item but nothing else,i use turbo lister for my listings.
i think the delay issue lies with ebay itself,as it can take upto 6 hours when i list my items through turbo lister or ebay, satuarday there was the longest ive ever waited i think.

its terrible that they can do this and not even give a real reason.

Hi, Yes I've been using Auctiva for quite a long time now.
Ok they do have problems sometime, but nowhere near as often as they used to do.

If I get any problems, I just log a file telling them what is wrong, and most of the time it's sorted in the same hour.
I find it a much cheaper way than using Ebay and paying for all their photos.

Saying that I'm trying to come off Ebay and just use my own website which is now up and running.
It's www.binnies-superstore.co.uk if anyone wants to look

I am selling Kitsch stuff, Beatles stuff, Elvis stuff, Exotic Lingerie, Football stuff etc.

Not sure if I should post this here, sorry if I'm not

Be nice to have my first ever customer though. :p
