Child Maintenance

Advice please on child maintenance.
A regular payment has been set up by my ex to help with the costs of the children.
I just want to know if my wages get taken into account as the calculator seems to just enable you to add my ex's wages.
I'm on £17,250 and he's on £85,000 a year plus a military pension of £1400 a month. This obviously puts him in the higher bracket for tax but should the calculations be before tax?
