Contacted Brittania immediately after getting PCN.
Via their website started an appeal.
I know this was the wrong way to go about it initially.

    However no response from them.
Have now got a letter from a Debt Recovery Plus Ltd requesting payment of £160.

Please advise the best course of action.
Quite worried about this becoming a bigger problem.

Have another read of the first sentence in post#2 of your thread.

In there, in post#4, you will find a very clear message:

    Ignore Debt Collector's letters

No it's not. It was never a problem, calm down!

Email the BPA like it says in the newbies thread section about complaints. Tell them that you appealed and have had no POPLA code.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

  • What if was in the car park for longer but didn't leave the vehicle.
    How does that affect it?.
  • A car can be parked with the engine on and 10 people inside. It has no bearing on it whatsoever.

That's still parked, stop thinking about the story of what happened. Complain to the BPA as registered keeper, not driver, and say no POPLA code was sent and Britannia are harassing you with debt letters.

NO-ONE is going to say you should pay this. Not even if you can't get a POPLA code.

Why are you still harping on about this ridiculous excuse?
