Current Account Review

Options
Hi can sombody please help us, we bank with lloydstsb and until this year have been persauded to have a yearly financial review. This year none of our circumstances have changed so we. don't feel that we need the review but the bank keeps phoning and writing do we have to have the review or can we be polite and tell the bank to leave us alone and if we need help we'll contact them.
Thanks for your help.

  • Yes of course you can.
  • This is not a review, it's a yearly guaranteed sales appointment to make you borrow more money. I'd advise you to just not turn up. If everybody was a no-show they'd soon get the message.

better manners to just say no malestrom then not show up

there may be different accounts that have come out in the last year thast you do not know about
  • I agree, I was just saying

some people do moan that they are not informed of the other rates available though - have a look around yourself though and get the best rates by yourself

Today I just shredded another invitation for a review of my accounts with the NatWest, it was only a few months ago that I went to one. Pretty much a waste of time. If you are savvy enough you can chase down the best rates yourself, using MSE or Google, or simply visiting your banks website
