A little attention to grammar may help, some punctuation to at least make the string of words comprehensible.

    Seriously?

So your trying to run a 9V device on 5v and possibly just 500mA at that.

Chuck the DVD player away and get an MP4 player, or stick videos on a smart phone.

I also didnt comprehend but i will add this :-

You may not be allowed on the plane with your device if it wont power up (if thats what your issue is)
  • Well, yes, it was horrific to read that original post, but I do think we got the gist of it...

Those portable DVD players don't have the best battery lives. Even using a USB pack to increase running time probably won't help you on an 8 hour flight.

I'm guessing this is to entertain a child .. if you are on an international flight they typically have built-in entertainment systems with a load of films/TV shows to watch.

My suggestion, if you don't want to rely on their entertainment - Buy an Amazon 7" tablet for £30, fill a microSD card with the shows you want. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Amazon-Fire-7-Inch-Tablet-8GB/dp/B00Y3TM6CO/
  • You might be able to access video files saved on a USB stick inserted into the USB socket from the in seat entertainment hub

Hideously unlikely.. it would be terrible for security.

I'm guessing this is all about letting some kid watch peppa pig for many hours

When has that ever stopped anyone specifying requirements? 😂

A Google search returns mixed views. It might depend on the specific entertainment system. However, I'd agree a cheap Kindle Fire is probably the better option.
