I know BA do it for assistance dogs, not sure about your regular pooch.

This wasn't asistance dog it was a smallish dog though, pug faced.
Only saw it and owner in departure lounge of Madrid airport but it must've been going to get on a plane.It's your money. Except if it's the governments.0 -

Yes, Dogs and cats are allowed on planes. They can sit at their owners feet.0

Small dogs are allowed in the cabin. Bigger dogs have to go in a special crate in a special part of the hold.0

Apparently, particularly in the US, some people are claiming they have 'service' dogs. This allows them to take them into the cabin and avoid paying a fee for the dog and lets the dog travel without being in a cage
