  • I use a company called IDNET.

I'd recommend them over the larger ISPs like Virgin or BT etc. It's a medium sized company that deals primarily with hosting websites I think. The thing I like about them is their small office. You can call their office directly (no 0845 numbers or anything) and speak to somebody who knows their stuff and can fix problems right away, rather than getting passed around from call centre to call centre.

I was actually thinking about not posting, because they're still a small ISP, if everybody twigs on that they're better than the mainstream ones they might loose that 'small ISP appeal' should everybody switch over. So Shhhhhhhh! It's a secret!

However i'm not sure about the minimum contract length. To be honest I think you'll be hard pressed to find an ISP which doesn't have a minimum contract length.

plus net do a one month contract, if you pay the connection fee up front (£40) and supply your own hardware.
Ever stop to think and forget to start again?
  • I think Plusnet also do a months free trial too, and as the previous poster mentioned that they do one month contract, i would say it is a great deal. they have packages starting from 9.99£.

  • I used to use plusnet and found them very good. I switched to Talk Talk as it was free but wish I hadn't. Eclipse are also very good I use 9 ADSL lines at work and have never had a problem. Even there tech support is good.
Bug? That's not a bug, that's an undocumented feature.
