Kittens tipping water bowl

So my [STRIKE]terrors[/STRIKE] kittens have a new game where they move and tip up the water bowl. As it's only water I don't mind for my carpets sake but do worry about them going thirsty all day (they eat wet and dry food and I'm out at work all day). Any advice on preventing this behaviour?

They also like to cover up their food bowl and forget about the hidden food but they usually don't cover wet and dry so I worry less about that

Or make own by sticking their existing bowl down onto a bit of sheet material (plywood/mdf) that they would have to stand on to reach their bowl. Epoxy glue would be best, but duct tape might work temporarily.

A heavier bowl might be the answer....

A dog bowl similar to the one you're already using might work. They tend to slide rather than tip
