VOIP on wifi mobile: what phone, which network?

I am about to take up a new mobile contract and was thinking of getting a wifi phone that has the VOIP features enabled to use my Voipdiscount. Does anyone know if all wifi phones are possible to do this? Also, what is the most suitable mobile network I should go for (or at least those that do not prohibit using VOIP on mobile)?

Thank you.

Well I have used the old Nokia 9500 Communicator for three years now (WiFi, but no VOIP capability that I yet know of), and when I saw your new thread, I thought maybe there had been a breakthrough I could use :D

I use a nokia e61, o2 payg , on www.truphone.com. Uk calls are free ( when on wifi at home)and instalation is straight forward.
Call quality over wifi is good but not so good on 3g .

Lots of FAQS on the truphone website.
On the internet you can be anything you want. It`s strange so many people choose to be rude and stupid.

You will find that some mobile networks have made arrangements to supply phones with the VoIP functions restricted or hidden, so it needs some careful research.

3, x-series sliver for 5.00 does me great using a Nokia 6120 & N95, both high speed mobiles and the clarity of calls is much better than my N73 ever was

https://www.truphone.com ( great for unlimited landlines in 40 countries )

https://www.newnet.co.uk VOIP ( 0800 number over voip for just under 15.00 one off with no monthly fee, calls charged 2p per min - saves my mobile minutes & emergencies for kids, they just need to find a payphone )
