The driver went to a car park for a meeting but parked in the wrong Car park not the Tescos one. They parked across the road. They were told in the meeting that they would take down the number plate and they would be exempt, but they didn't realise they were in the wrong car park. They overstayed the 2.5 hrs and also the 15 mins limit after 10pm. Haven't got the ticket yet, but sure they will in a few days!

Should they just pay the £50 or can they appeal?

Read the NEWBIES FAQ sticky, post #1 to explain how you handle this successfully via the two-appeals process.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

    Never reveal who was driving.

Write in the third person. The driver did this. The driver then did that etc
