charter flight prices...

going away in a couple of weeks, got the use of a mates villa in the algarve for a week - all we had to do was book the flights - because of the half term break, all prices were quite expensive - ended up booking charter flight with first choice, cost including taxes of 240 quid per person.
I just went on their website today and out of sheer boredom, asked for the same flights , and it is now offering me these flights at 160 quid each. That would have been a saving of £240.
i dont suppose there is much I can do about it ? Would I get any mileage/money back from phoning them up and having a "frank exchange of views"

It's just the luck of the draw I'm afraid. If they had gone up you wouldn't ring them up asking to pay the extra would you?0

Probably the theme that we see the most often here! BTW - where you flying from £240 pp seems a lot for Faro? I just booked for Xmas at £60 per person.
Well, what people will say (a potted version)
1) Don't check your prices after you've booked - what's the point
2) You were happy when you booked
3) If the prices had gone up would you have volunteered to pay the extra?
4) If you go into a supermarket and buy a tin of beans etc etc
Have I missed a standard response?
But the answer to your question is no, don't bother, save yourself the hassle unless the cancellation charges are lower than the saving you will make.0 -
Have a browse on their website and see if there is a price promise.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0
