Have had various quotes for same boiler plus 7 rads and they vary considerably (between £2,650 and £4230). One supplier won't provide a written quotation unless we are placing an order with him.
Is this normal?

If you dont get a quote dont go with them as they will up the price later and you have no proof of price. Always go with a recommend.0

We are having our heating done at the moment, replacing back boiler with worcester bosch 30cdi with remote digital programmer, 5 existing rads removed and flushed, one new rad fitting, shower plumbed in (it's on the wall already just the other side of where the boilers going) £2500. Plumber said £300ish cheaper for a good midrange boiler or £600ish for a 'budget' (he said crap!!!) one. So £700 more for bosch probably about right.0

I paid similar to 'must resist ebay', I too had back boiler removed, WB 28J put in the airing cupboard, had old flue removed, flushing out existing rads, put new thermostats knobs on, remote control thingy, a load of new pipework, removed old tank in airing cupboard, and tank in loft, this was approx 3 years ago.0
