Copy of lease

Is it possible to obtain a copy of the lease of a flat I looking to purchase, I looked on the gov.uk website and cannot such thing.

Please advice.

You need to apply to Land Registry on form OC2 with a £7 fee...

and in section 7, how do I find out the date of document?

Have you tried just asking the seller/estate agent first?

Download the Leasehold Title Register, it will have the number and the date of Lease.
