Well after all the problems I have been having with the Waitrose comps, and being told by them that their IT dept. had checked and found no problem so it must be a problem with my browser - this went through first time!!!
I did clear my cookies again after failing to enter the Aveeno comp this morning - so I don't know whether that helped or whether this entry was a fluke.

I have made numerous complaints to the IT department at Waitrose about not being able to enter online competitions, I cleared my cache, like they suggested but to no avail. I was beginning to think that the purchase only entries were a swizz as I could never enter because the code wouldn't work. I found last time I filled in the form manually rather than use autofill and bingo, I managed to enter. I will try free entry ones for a bit rather than go and buy something I don't usually buy - but their IT department is "useless"!:mad:

Bonkers web site - just entered other Waitrose comp from Chrome because Firefox and Safari would not work.
But for this comp just entered through Firefox because Chrome and Safari would not work !

For those having difficulty entering Waitrose competitions enter your details including ticking terms & conditions then reset captcha/code until only numbers are showing. Then enter the numbers and hit enter key not submit . It may take a few attempts but it seems to work better when only numbers are showing.

4 THE PRIZE

4.1 The prize is 1x ‘Alpine Gourmet Weekend’ for 2 adults. The prize package includes: Return flights from London to Geneva, including taxes, fees and hand baggage only; Return private airport transfers in Geneva; 3 nights’ hotel accommodation in Geneva, with a four-star rating, based on sharing a double or twin room; Daily breakfast; One bottle of Champagne in winner’s room on arrival; Five-course tasting menu dinner for two, including wine pairings and service charge, at a Michelin Star restaurant in Geneva; Two-hour small group cookery class with Michelin Star chef at leading restaurant in Geneva; Full-day tour into the French Alps, including return transportation from central Geneva, cable car ride into the mountains, and three-course set menu lunch; £250 spending money, spending money will be provided in the form of bank transfer to winners nominated account or cheque; Travel insurance.

Economy flights available from major international airports in London only; Flights will be selected by prize provider and not all routings will be available; Winner and guest must have full passport valid for at least 6 months at time of travel; Any necessary visas are responsibility of winner and guest; A valid credit or debit card will be required for security deposit purposes when checking into hotel accommodation; Hotel accommodation is based on two adults sharing one double or twin room; Hotel will be selected by prize provider at their sole discretion; Travel insurance is subject to restrictions and the terms and conditions of the insurance provider.
