the evidence is everywhere unless you listen to those blinded by ideology
The risk of the status quo is never going to be as great as a dramatic change from the status quo. I'm not discounting the possibility that Brexit will be a success, but it is obviously a risk. As for the risks of staying in the EU, anything that happens there will have a huge influence on us after brexit anyway.
Anyway, I'll leave it there. I just made a passing comment. I don't really give a monkeys about house prices.
well it obviously is a risk (if implemented poorly), as i said just like superbugs and terrorist attacks. but i dont see any real evidence out there to suggest it is a serious risk.
your status quo argument is nonsense. it doesnt mean anything.
your comments seem just that - just comments based on nothing but your opinion, but please do correct me if i am indeed wrong on this assumption.0 -
im not stating anything - you are.
you're stating that I'm wrong with far more certainty than my original (fairly vague) statement was ever intended to be!
Maybe I could have inserted another "in my opinion" or "probably" to make it absolutely clear I wasn't making a clear prediction, but reading it back I still don't see how it provoked such an extreme reaction.0 -

no all is said was "based on what evidence". you were not vague. you clearly said house prices are unsustainable and uk economy has serious risks. you also said this is common sense. it does not get any clearer then this.0 -

I'm sure you would if there was a downturn. As would impact the wider economy. Levers interact with each other. Pull one there'll be an unexpected correlation elsewhere. All will be blamed on Brexit anyway.0 -

Very true. Ironic that the greatest anti-establishment backlash in the last few decades will allow the establishment to disclaim all responsibility for its actions for the next few decades. Economy goes into recession = consequence of Brexit. NHS collapses = consequence of Brexit. Deficit balloons = consequence of Brexit. Immigration soars = consequence of Brexit. Senior MPs found to be part of Satanic cult = we needed to blow off steam due to the stress of trying to manage Brexit. Rainy summer = actually we're still blaming that one on global warming.0 -

Don't over simplify Thrugelmir, only us Remainers will blame Brexit, Leavers will blame the EU and Remoaner saboteurs amongst the Elites
I do fully agree by the way that Britain faces many other fundamental economic issues beyond what type of Brexit we achieve.0 -

Shame that we don't take a look at ourselves once in a while.0 -

Very true, sadly most of the issues we face are pretty longstanding ones as well0
