Incorrect court history on credit report!

Hi - I've just been going through my credit report and found 2 x CCJs which are nothing to do with me! I think it may be a family member with a very similar name to me and who I used to live with so we had the same address. Is there anything I can do to remove these? 1 of them says it was finished in 2014 and the other is ongoing so I am really worried about this.
I have sent an email to the court with all of the information and my family members details etc but I've not had any response and I have no idea what to do... as I'm trying to get a mortgage I really feel like this could damage my chances!

Yes alot you can do, speak to which ever of the 3 agencies you looked at and tell them of the errors. Check the other 2 while your at it.
Contact the relevant courts tomorrow.
You should really be checking your reports on a more regular basis.0 -
Hi Daniele9390,
First of all, you will need to check if the CCJ has been registered against you as well, or just that the CCJ has been put on the wrong credit file. You should be able to do this by checking the Register of Orders, Judgements and Fines at www.trustonline.org.uk but please be aware there is a small fee for this. If there is no CCJ registered against you here, then it would appear to just be a credit file issue.
To correct the credit file issues, you should be able to write to Experian, with a copy/ print out of the trust online register and proof of ID (ask them what they may require first) and ask them to remove the incorrect data. If they refuse to do this then you can escalate the matter to the Information Commissioners Office.
If the CCJ is actually registered against you, it does become more complicated and I am afraid you may need to apply to the court to set aside the CCJ. This can be pricey and you may also need legal advice on this matter.
