Aqua application duplicated

Hi all

I applied for an Aqua Classic card a couple of weeks ago, but today two cards arrived through the post. I called Aqua and they apologised and admitted that two accounts had been opened in error, and they closed one of them.

I've subsequently raised a complaint as I'm unhappy about this error. Does anyone know the full implications this may have on my credit file?

It depends how it appears. It will either be removed completely, or will show as a closed account.

I'd imagine the first.

Have a look on your credit files with all 3 agencies.

Just in case anyone was interested - the second card was removed from my file entirely, and Aqua settled the complaint with £25.
