Can anyone recommend a car insurance provider which you can add a newly qualified driver (aged 30+) to without it breaking the bank?

Probably a good start would be to put the details into a car insurance comparison site.0

Yes - and it's good you've found this out before taking out the policy.
Had you already taken out a policy, and wanted to add the new driver part way through the year - you would have had to cancel that policy and change insurer. (And maybe paid cancellation fees, and maybe missed out on a year's NCD.)0
