Roof Survey

We have an extension with a flat roof and feel it's due for a survey.

Who do we ask to do this?

I've spoken to a firm of surveyors (who clearly didn't want the job despite offering quotes for roof surveys on their website) and said they'd only do it from the ground anyway ?!

I don't like to be cynical but surely a roofing company who offer free quotes have a vested interest in telling you there's a problem.

Is it leaking or pooling? What's the reason for your desire to have it inspected?
  • No problems at all as far as we know.

The house was my fathers and the extension is about 45 years old and we don't know when it was last checked. Just feel it's better safe than sorry and that if there was a problem that resulted in damage our insurance company would want to know when it had last been checked.
