Paying bills on CC

I'm madly collecting Tesco points, so it's really helpful if I can pay things on my CC. I do this for everything that we go into a shop to buy and pay it off before the CC bill comes.
However, just thinking about what bills comes straight out of my bank and wondered if I could cancel the dd and pay them by credit card.
I have
Mortgage
Council Tax
Life Insurance - obv this is an ongoing monthly thing
Dog Insurance
Cat Insurance - could these be paid by cc if I paid the whole lot in one go?
Water Bill - ditto stuff about dog and cat insurance?
Gas Bill
Electricity Bill
2 x Mobile Telephone Bills
BT - landline (rental only, calls with Sky)
Bank Loan
Sky Television
Fridge Insurance
Telephone Bill with Sky
Just curious really as these are things that I have pay regardless, so it would be handy extra points.

You will probably find you can't pay most of these things with CC.
Also be aware that with CCA (continuous card authority) you have very little protection compared with a lot of protection from the direct debit guarantee.
Aslo be aware that some companies (particularly utilities) give a discount for paying by DD, so you could lose this discount. You would need to weigh up the lost of discount against the value of the point if they do allow CC payments.0
