I have always been able to download my photos from my phone to my PC without any problems.

Today I cannot get past the 'Microsoft account screen' telling me the benefits of syncing my phone to their accounts - I do not want to sync my phone to anything with the exception of backing up.

Please can you help in advising me how to avoid setting up an account with Microsoft.

I want control not hand it over to anyone else!!!!

Thanks.

I have no issues. Connect phone to PC select the "This PC" icon and scroll down to the new drive letter added when you connected the phone.

Goto the DCIM folder and bingo all my pictures.

Took 10x longer to type this than it takes to do it.
