My mac pc makes passwords how safe are these if stored in the cloud ?
any recommends for anti virus for apple, that would also work on my iPad/phone if possible

They're only as safe as the master password so if your iCloud password is weak then it can be cracked.
I use Bitdefender on my MBP as I have it on my Windows desktop and can use it on up to 5 devices. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
I use KeePass to store passwords. It's free and fully cross platform with versions for most operating systems including Apple & Android phones, the Mac version is KeePassX.

I store my password file in the cloud so I'm always using the same file across all devices, avoids the problem of keeping multiple files up to date.
I make sure that the master password/passphrase is secure but there are other precautions as well as a strong password. KeePass and its variants can be set up to require that a key file be present as well as the correct password. This file is stored on each device and NOT in the cloud so if anyone does manage to get hold of the master file they can try and crack the password but without the keyfile it still won't open.
The keyfile can be anything, an innocuous documet, a photo, an mp3 file etc..
I use Sophos AV on the Macs, I have no idea about iPad/iPhone as my phone and tablet are both Android. One by one the penguins are slowly stealing my sanity.0
