Hello,
I have been looking at doing this for a while and I am still unsure so I am looking for other peoples experience in this area.
When they say you can get your credit score for free is this really true or does it then cost after so long or cost to get your credit rating or advice on how to improve it?
I have been toying with the idea of signing up with one of the above sites but I don't know if they are worth it or if they just give false hope as they are randomly generated graphs or if they are really accurate?
Could you guys share your suggestions etc?
Thanks
James

You can get it for free from 3 sites, there is no universal score and only you can see the score/rating, lender see the data on your file.
Why have you been toying with the idea, just register with all 3, it does no harm to check everything is ok.
They tell you which lenders have done a search for you eg a credit card co when you applied for 1.
Start with the mse club as a starting point.0 -
The important thing you are signing up for is access to your credit files and not your randomly generate scores. Noddle, Clearscore and MSECC are all completely free services giving you access to your file across all three credit reference agencies. All you get from Noddle and Clearscore is the occasional e-mail offering their wonderful essential paid for services to improve your score in an instant !
As for the score MSE/Experian reckon I am well below average, Noddle/CallCredit reckon I am middling and ClearScore/Equifax reckon I am wonderful. Which one is correct ?0 -
Everything could be ok and theres nothing untoward on your files but it is a good idea to check them on a regular basis.0

There are free versions of your credit report Noddle, Clearscore, and MSE Credit Club (the free Experian just gives the useless score). They are all free for life and no implication to spend money. They all work by giving you offers e.g. signing up for credit through their referral service, only update on a monthly basis, but no reason not to be signed up to all 3 and check your report periodically.0

Thanks so would I get to see teh score and the data on my file?
Also I take it that MSE/Experian are the same?
Thanks
