PPI on Scottish Widows Credit Card & Bank One International Credit Card

Options
Hello,

I am new to this forum and I am looking for help to see if I am able to claim back PPI (Cardholder Protection Plan) on two of my old credit cards which I had completely forgotten I had.

One of them was with Scottish Widows Catrds Ltd, based in Brighton, but is it correct that it was bought over by Lloyds? Do I make the claim with them? As I have found old paperwork from January 2000 to April 2001 in a file, I hadn't been paying Cardholder Protection Plan, and then it suddenly appeared on the statement April 2001. Not sure how much I used the card after that, but it's worth to send in a form to them.

The other is with Bank One International, based in Cardiff. Not sure about where to send the questionnaire form to.

Any help would be much appreciated.

  • CPP and PPI are two different things.

(PPI is/was charged monthly and would appear on any monthly statement where there was an outstanding balance)

CPP was charged once a year.
There was a redress scheme, if you felt it had been mis-sold, but it ended some time ago.
  • It was a monthly charge but just says on the monthly statement, Cardholder Protection Plan, so it was PPI. My husband managed to claim his from the RBS credit card.

You say it was PPI. However, it could be CPP.

The CPP redress scheme closed three years ago.

Note that it was possible to pay CPP in monthly instalments
    so it was PPI.
    CPP was not PPI
My husband managed to claim his from the RBS credit card.
Claim what? His PPI? Or CPP?
Pre 2005 CPP could be refunded by Santander or your husband could have received a refund from the scheme which ended three years ago.

If you had CPP post 2005, you are too late.
