I am looking to change energy providers - but want to ensure whomever I change to, pay
their appropriate amount of UK Taxes as most are foreign companies, can anyone advise?

British Gas for you and so far they are not foreign .
You should also sign up for Standard tariff that way treasury will get more money .

But as to who pays the "appropriate amount of UK taxes" well the appropriate amount is that dictated by law which all will pay. Whether you think it is appropriate is irrelevant, it is definitely the legal amount and being UK owned makes zero difference to the amount of taxes paid.
