Hi,
I'm looking to buy a 18mm sheet of MDF from Homebase at £17.99, I know they offer a cutting service but I have a few questions.
1. Do they cut to size down to the millimetre?
2. Does this cost to cut, and how much?
My partner refuses to call them and refuses to go down there to ask/enquire.
Thanks

Of course, but accuracy will be down to the operator of the cutting machine................

No idea but it if they do it will only be a couple of ££

What are you using the MDF for ??
Its horrible stuff to use & must not get wet / damp...........
Thanks
Hope this helps0 -
I believe they'll only do a single cut through the sheet, they won't cut out shapes for you.Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.0

I think you need a new partner.Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.0

You'll get better quality and a more accurate cutting service from a local timber merchant. You'd be able to email them a cutting list and get a quote. They might even deliver.0

Travis Perkins or whoever is near you.
They will be very helpful especially if you are of the fairer sex...........0 -

Do you have a carer who could ask for you?0 -
My experience of B&Q is:
They cut to the millimetre but warn their machine has an accuracy of +/- 3mm
Cuts are free but there's probably a limit to that.A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0 -

Yes, there's a limit to the number of free cuts, two or three from memory and then they charge per cut.
I don't think the OP should do anything without a sensible adult on hand.0 -
I can only echo the other advice. Does your boyfriend know any grown ups he could ask to ring for him?0
