Monthly contents insurance?

I'm moving house soon but annoyingly my current contents insurance on my rented flat requires renewal before we move. I will have both houses for a few weeks so want to have a bit of a crossover for cover so I don't want to just have one policy that switches houses and would rather have separate policies. Trouble is that normal annual insurance policies tend to have cancellation fees which are huge when I only want the cover for a month (I am currently with Admiral and they charge £45!). I have found Ageas Elastic who do monthly policies with no fee but they don't cover converted flats which I would need.

Does anyone know of any other insurance companies that do monthly policies or that have low cancellation fees? Or is there some kind of financial ombudsman compilation of fees somewhere so I can easily work it out myself?
