Firefox & Right Click

Have a strange thing happening when using Firefox.
Version 55.0.3 64Bit.
When I right click anywhere on my screen the box that usually appears with the copy/paste/check spelling / select all etc etc now just appears as a blank box outline.
After a few seconds the wording sometime appears in the box & sometimes not.
Does not happen using Chrome browser
Bizarre......
Anybody else have the same thing happening ??

    No. I get the usual usual with info.
  • Have you got any add-ons installed in Firefox? Has anything else dodgy started happening?

    I guess there's a possibility that you've managed to pickup some malware that's affecting Firefox, which is why it's not working properly.

    Have you tried uninstalling Firefox and reinstalling it?

    Nothing else 'dodgy' started & no malware etc lurking.
    Mmmm restarted with addons disabled & all is OK,
    Only got 2 addons that I have had for years

    If Firefox or one of your add-ons has had an update then it could be the cause. Enable one at a time and see if happens again. Or, it's just having a funny five minutes.

    Looks like it is one of my addons that is causing the problem.
    Can't do without the addon so just have to live with the problem.

    It's possible there is some other kind of corruption with your user profile. You could try closing all Firefox windows, then running "firefox -p" (in the run box). The Profile Manager will open. There you could try creating a new user profile, installing the two add-ons, and seeing if the problem still occurs.
