How to delete the undeletable?

I have 3 programmes in my 'Add and Remove' Programmes list that are undeletable. They are really old programmes that I havent used for years and dont need but my pc wont let me delete them.

The first programme brings up a little box saying:

'Could not open INSTALL.LOG file'

The second one brings up a different uninstall box saying:

'Unable to locate the installation log file c:programmefiles/avertv/uninst.isu installation will not continue'.

The third one is Ulead VideoStudio8 Trial. When I try and delete it, it brings up another box saying :

'Uninstall(R) Setup Launcher has encountered a problem and needs to close'.

I have tried doing a search on my pc for these programmes and I have also done a registry clean on CCleaner but its bought no problems to light. I would like to delete them totally so any ideas as what I have done wrong and how I (I mean the other half), can delete them would be appreicated.

In CCleaner, click Tools, select the program, then Delete Entry.

Then using Windows Explorer, go to C :\Program Files\ and delete the avertv folder if it's there and the Ulead trial folder, if present.

I found a neat piece of freeware recently - Unlocker - allows you to delete undeletable files from your disk using Windows Explorer. Extremely powerful so only for expert users who know that the item can be deleted without affecting Windows. It saves you fiddling about with Safe Mode and DOS mode:
