  • If you don't have a record and they don't have a record, you don't.

Fortunately, it's very unlilely to have been mis sold, in any case.

If you have no record and they have no record then its game over before you start.

A lot of A&L mortgages were arranged by brokers/advisers. So, if yours was, then the lender wouldnt find anything in respect of MPPI.

  • Am in a similar situation. But I've found my old mortgage acc number on old Alliance & Leicester statements. Is this enough detail to persue a PPI claim? Any1 had any success with either of these companies & products? Can't remember if I dealt with a mortgage advisor or direct with A&L in 1993 ish.

    Probably not

1 - Most A&L mortgages were put in place by mortgage advisers/brokers. Not A&L branches. So, with those, there is no liability with Santander.
2 - Having mortgage details does not mean they can find if you had PPI. After all, MPPI was monthly premium standalone direct debit and not built into the mortgage

You can try but low odds.

    Most MPPI complaints fail.
