Travelling alone

Do it. Do what YOU feel comfortable doing, but do it.
You will come back braver, stronger, and with lots of stories. Or - you'll do what my daughter did, and end up meeting a fabulous Aussie guy and staying out there (she went for 6 months 5 years ago...).No longer a spouse, or trailing, but MSE won't allow me to change my username...0 -
Do it. You won't regret it as others have said. I went alone at roughly that same age and the truth is you can very easily hook up with other travellers as much or as little as you want. Its much better going alone than with others from home because you feel tied to them whereas if you start travelling with a group and don't get on, you can just leave them again.
What could go wrong? For me it was mostly related to money as I didn't have much in reserve, no credit cards or anything so I worked some tough jobs to keep me going. But if you have some reserve funds you won't have to rough it so much. Having said that I view those hard times as very positive.0
