Room layout

We're buying a new house with a west facing lounge. Can anybody who has a west facing lounge recommend where to place the TV in relation to the window please? We can't picture it, have only ever lived with south/north facing aspects previously.

TIA.

    Under the window!

Ours is in the South East corner facing towards the window on a diagonal and we have to draw the curtains on a sunny afternoon to see the screen at all.

I've got the feeling the existing aerial is positioned for the north east corner which feels like it'll have the same issues you face.

as per Doozer girl, miens in the SE corner, with curtains closed on a (rare) sunny day. If it was on the opposite side, I thik it would be even worse, even in regular daylight
