Warning regarding Tesco Bank Debit Cards

Just get another current account, at Tesco or elsewhere. If you switch your existing account to another bank, they might even pay you for doing so. There's no guarantee you will be given an offline card though.
I want extra Clubcard points on fuel, and I don't want to be limited to kiosk hours only. All my other debit cards are capable of offline transactions - but don't give me any points or anything like that. I think it's perverse that I've been sent a 'not to be trusted' debit card when the same bank are regularly increasing my credit limit on the two credit cards I have with them (now £11k+) and ridiculous that they have no way of changing the card on my account regardless of status. That said, I will probably just live with it and use other filling stations or a credit card when the kiosk is shut.0 -

Bear in mind that new current accounts opened with Tesco have the 4 DD requirement - that might be a struggle, as most here will have DD's on an account that pays cashback.
If I did have an online only card, I think I'd rather keep an existing account on the old terms (if the OP is on them) than close it to possibly get an online and offline card.0 -
I have 4 other current accounts (was 5 until I got the '£100 to say goodbye' at First Direct today) and an extra Tesco one. I have had every switching bonus available on the market.

It's not a online/offline issue - your card issuer has restricted Pay at Pump transactions on your debit card.
