What is this search on my credit file?

Options
Just checking my credit file on Noddle, and one of the recent search entries is:

Capital One Bank (Europe) Plc (Ml, Sa, Sr, Cval)
Money Saving Expert Powered By Capital One(Cr Api)

Quotation Search

12/08/2017

Anyone know what this is about, or how it's related to MSE? Is it classed as a 'hard search'? I don't recall doing anything that would have lead to it appearing on my credit file.

That's a soft search. Did you run a credit card eligibility check on MSE recently?

That's the thing, I don't think I did use eligibility checker. I don't remember going any further than browsing the list of best deals, but I suppose it's possible that I could have done.
