Heathrow to Central London-National rail?

We are going to London tomorrow. Three of us are travelling by train but the fourth in our party is traveling by air to Heathrow and meeting us in central London.

I was looking to make use of the 2 for 1 offer with national rail tickets. Can anyone advise if thetrain ticket he will get travelling from Heathrow to the city centre will be a valid ticket?

Thanks

Probably too late now but with an underground ticket to central London just costing £6 I wouldn't be worrying too much (and I don't understand what type of ticket they were planning to use anyway).
loose does not rhyme with choose but lose does and is the word you meant to write.

Thanks for taking the time to reply. He needs a national rail paper ticket to take advantage of the 2 for 1 offers over the weekend.

The overground Heathrow Connect is £10.30; the Heathrow Express is £15

Heathrow Express and Heathrow Connect tickets are not valid for the 2-4-1 offers

Just by a cheap rail ticket (London Blackfriars to City Thameslink £3.00) from any National Rail station in London (no need to actually travel on it) and use that for the 2-4-1 ticket
  • Thank you. We have bought cheap tickets. We are here for the Harry Potter play. It is magnificent so far if anyone intends going.
