Car broken into!!!

Hi there , really needing some advise as I'm clueless on what to do, today we returned to our car after being parked for 48 hours in NCP Piccadilly Gardens Manchester , someone has smashed the back window in and stolen belongings.. were now going to have to pay +£450 to get this fixed !! I really feel that NCP should be paying this and not us ? Can someone advise me ? They should surely been checking the car parks and u need a ticket to get into the car park as it's secure and closed between 11.30pm-5.30am .. HELP

  • Why should NCP pay, unless they (or their staff) actually broke in? I think you'll find their Ts&Cs pretty clearly state that they are not responsible for such things.

As for your £450, that's what insurance is for. Though you may find the excess plus future increase in premiums makes it not worth it.

Surely it is covered by insurance?
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.

No doubt you will find that their T&C's state no responsibility

There is a "get out" for everything nowadays, including prisons

So what did NCP say when you reported this, and what did the Police say when you asked for an incident number to support your insurance claim?
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

NCP are members of the BPA "Park Mark" Scheme but like the rest of the BPA organisation seems to be just a useless bag of wind:

Totally agree about the BPA, maybe that's why Troy decided

  • I was just asking , we paid £50 to park the car for two days , what have we payed for .. nothing because they clearly aren't looking after the cars or keeping the car park secure .. it was just a query that's all

You paid for the space to park your car in, that's all.

We all understand your thoughts but the T&C's give the opt out

Probably not worth claiming on your insurance as your excess
will no doubt mean you do not recover anything.
PLUS, you will find your next premium will increase

It is just the normal UK scam we all have to suffer
