When do suppliers typically increase the LineRental ?
I know they tend to do it yearly.
I'm specifically thinking of Virgin.
Just considering paying Line Rental Saver if I do a 12 month deal with my existing supplier
Thanks

Varies from provider to provider, the last Virgin line rental increase came in November last year and there is another hike (but not seemingly to the line rental but broadband and phone is going up) due in November this year.
Not that it matters because if you lock 12mth line rental in today its fixed regardless of what happens to the standard price during that time. The current rate is £196, or £16.33 a month as opposed to £19 without it.0 -
September and March seem to be traditional times for BTEx forum ambassador

Virgin like to have 2 rises per year, one for broadband which is towards the end of the year, and rental at a different point in time.0

Sky used to do them around October, as the last time they offered line rental saver, I just managed to save on the fix, as the price rise was shortly after my negotiation. They seemed to follow the mob, once BT set off the increases.
However, the chance of a large sneaky increase, when combining prices, altered the pattern last time.0 -
yes , the modern trick seems to be realignment of packages
sky seem to be carrying out something at the moment with changes of channel names on the sports and so on , I'm wondering if its a long term plan to reduce existing packages content and create new add on packagesEx forum ambassador
