For the life of me I cannot get rid of Ad choices, and they are getting more and more. I have followed instructions by googling and looked in programs to uninstall but it isn't showing. I am running windows 7 home premium on Google chrome.

Ad Choices isn't a program, it's in its default state, customised advertising when you visit websites that uses it, showing you stuff you may be interested in based on what you've looked at elsewhere. Ie if you looked at vacuum cleaners on Argos another site that uses the same advertising servers would recognise this and show you more adverts for vacuum cleaners.
Or do you mean something else? Things like "Ads by Google," "Sponsored ads" or the AdChoices triangle logo? Are you getting popups?0 -
I use uBlock Origin under Firefox (running Win 10 on a desktop PC). It puts a stop to virtually all adverts and pop ups, especially those on free newspaper sites.0

+ at least 1 for uBlock Origin, but also try/add Ghostery and NoScript Firefox extensions.0

Used AdBlock Plus for years until uBlock Origin was mentioned to me.
Adblock instantly went out the window.
I also use NoScript.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0
