Letter before action HELP

Good morning guys,

Looking for some urgent advice!

I've recently received a 'letter before action' from Northern Parking Services after parking in a private bay by my girlfriend's flat block. She's been very ill with me having to spend a lot of time there to help her.

Cut a long story short, Over the course of 3 weeks (Feb-March) I was issued 4 PCNs and took no action towards them as I have in the past. After the usual stream of warning letters I have received this:

ht/tp://ibb.co/fpO5p5
ht/tps://ibb.co/mvu9hQ
(I cannot post links as being a new user)

I read into the company, heard their lack of pursuit in courts etc but this is not a 'one off ticket' but 4 unpaid PCNs amounting to £400 so guessing that they will take this more seriously..? I have made no contact with NPS but did debate an offering to settle payment gradually unsure.gif

Any advice would be much appreciated!

Thanks

  • @Redx thanks for the reply. I shall compose a letter to NPS in an hour or so. Am I alright to copy my letter into this thread before submission?

    Thanks

Basic question. Did you park on her allocated space or a communal space or somewhere else. These all boil down to whose actual land you were on and what rights if any the driver had.

No point in going further unless the basic one is answered.

  • @Redx sounds good- thanks!
@IamEmanresu no her flat doesn't have parking available so was in a space belonging to a local business I think. If it was her space I would have fire back at them at the first instance! Lol.

    I wouldn't be offering them a penny.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
