orangotv taking money

i found this site on facebook before the mayweather fight and found the offer of "free 3 day trial" very inviting as the plan was to use this trial for the mayweather fight and then cancel.

4 hours before the fight i wasn't able to find the stream on their website to view any of the prelims etc.so after sending them a message on their facebook wall and writing a comment asking how to find it and even going onto their website asking via livechat and all without a reply i thought this was really bad and so i went ahead with logging into the site and canceling my order with them (they claim you can cancel anytime and if its within the 3 days trial no charge will be taken).

so i get a email pretty much right away stating they will give me a 50% discount if i stay with them but i either need to reply to that email with me saying "yes please" to the offer or "no thanks". so i made the reply with no thanks.

2 days later i notice they have taken the £30 out my bank account, they have blocked me on facebook as i cant even message them now, so i thought id write a review on trustpilot stating how bad they was and the fact they had charged me well ahead of the 3 day trial ending.

i had also sent them a email asking why they had charged me so early and the fact that i had even cancelled the account well ahead of the cut of date, they replyied with this "When you delete Your post on trustpilot We Will do a refund.".

i have had to reword my trustpilot review just so i can get a refund

shocking company.

Perhaps you could re-revise your trustpilot out with this latest information?

I wonder if it is possible that what you had signed up to was an illegal stream? Perhaps someone had shut it down even if only temporarily. Hard to feel too much sympathy for someone who thinks they ought to be able to watch for free and then finds there are some sharks selling the quick fix.
  • The only way people were watching that fight for free was via illegal streaming. That "service" provider is based in Gibraltar and I wouldn't touch them with a barge pole.
  • its not a illegel streaming site.they have all channels on there fully working. you name a channel and they have got it.they did have the fight but i couldnt find then channel because the layout was pretty poor and i wasnt told what channel it was on intill 30 mins after it had started by then i just paid via talktalk to watch it.

am in no way looking for sympathy and dont expect it from random people, just wanted to point out what happen to me so it doesnt happen to others.

swagbucks have them on their website but people have been having the same issues...i cant see swagbucks promoting illegel website streams

I'm sure that they can stream a top fight perfectly legally for next to nothing despite the rights being owned by HBO etc.
  • If you are quick, there are some £45 supermarket vouchers going around facebuck as well!

Should have used a legal stream or just not watch the fight, I saved myself money by not watching it.
  • i got my money back after clearing the feedback i left but am going to put the feedback back on soon..
  • It is a legal stream.

Small update I changed my review of them back to a bad one and they just emailed me telling me to change it...but before I changed it I knew I had to cancel my bank card just in case they tryied to charge me again.
Just a hour ago they just tried to charge my account for €69 then for €35,€19 and then 2 €4 charges all within afew mins. Just 5 mins ago they tried again for €69 so this is clearly getting to the point of fraud now and needs reporting
