Hi
I am looking at what tv/internet/phone bundle to get having moved into a new flat which only has virgin lines. I need sky sports the rest is optional virgin full package comes to £71pm. Not interested in sky cinema etc.
Sky q apparently i can get now without an outside aerial (not allowed in the block). Their package is coming to around 60pm but then id need a bt phoneline (whereas with virgin i understand i dont??)
Are there any other options iv missed? Id rather not have a phone/landline - virgin actually is cheaper to have the phone.
Thanks

Sky Q requires a dish, and 4K BB. Sky's IPTV service may come out next year from Sky but at the moment Sky's only totally IPTV is their NowTV service.0

Sky needs the phone line for on demand and catch up services, as they come via the internet, while live tv is via the dish.0

Sky doesn't need the phone line for anything, even less On-Demand and catch-up. Those just need an internet connection.
SkyQ has wireless built in, so that means you could in theory connect it to a personal hotspot you've created via your mobile phone (check whether tethering is allowed on your mobile package) and get your on-demand and catch-up through that. It wouldn't be cheap (or fast), but it would be possible.0 -
All that Sky needs is a connection to the internet with either a Wi-Fi or Ethernet connection not a phone line.0
