Jet2 Hand Baggage

Hi, I'm due to fly to Paris with Jet2 from Manchester soon. Their maximum hand baggage size is 46x30x23cm. I've got a small suitcase that is about 52x35x19cm and was wondering if you think I'll get away with it?

Do they actually get a tape measure out and measure it or anything?

No they don't measure it with a tape measure, but many airlines have a sized basket thing, that your hand luggage must fit in to at check - in, if it doesn't fit, you may have to put it through as hold baggage and pay the extra charge.

Not worth the risk.

Don't even think about trying to get away with it, we flew from Leeds/Bradford last year with Jet2 and we were charged for three pounds of excess BETWEEN us!

I have since been told that anyone over with their luggage should insist on paying by credit card as the ground crew share any cash out between them, may not be true, of course.

we have just got back from benidorm flying with jet2 we weighed the cases in the hotel we were well under the 18k but when we were at the jet2 desk they weighed 1 case at 20 and one at 19k so we had to pay 16 euros between us when we weighed the cases when we were back at home they were under 18k again it does make you wander
