Courier to Collect Lost Property at airport

Has anybody else found a courier company that will collect lost property from an airport lost property office?
The airport in question - Venice - is not prepared to pack or label the lost item. I cannot find a courier who will is prepared to put the item in a bag and print or fill in the label themselves!!
I've been trying to get this item back for over a week - tired FedEx, UPS, DHL.......any other suggestions PLEASE.....:j

Pips63, I suppose you have resolved this by now but I've found myself in the same situation (with an item waiting for me at an Austrian airport) and the major courier companies only apparently doing international airport pickups if you're a business customer. Did you find a solution in the end?

You'll struggle with this because lost and found offices tend to be airside (in the baggage hall) - a courier can't just wander in to collect items. There may be a landside one but you need to establish exactly where the item is.

What is the item and how did it end up there?

Airlines should deliver bags if they have been delayed or otherwise mis-handled.
