City Break, February

Looking for inspiration!
I have two children, and for years we have been going abroad during the half term holiday in February. When they were little we regularly used to go to Benidorm for a cheap mid-winter beach holiday; we've been to Lanzarote once and last year we went to Venice. I've been talking to DH about going somewhere next year, and he suggested that as we'd had such a great time in Venice, we should think about another city break. This seems to appeal to everyone, but as it's February, I'd really like to go somewhere that's at least not colder than the UK - so, Southern Europe rather than Northern.
The children are 15 and 9. DH doesn't fancy Barcelona for some reason (my suggestion). Any ideas?

Rome - there's so much to say about the place I'd be here all day and night - it's good for two hours, two days, two months, two years...0
