New Velux windows, damaged

Hi all,
I am in the middle of the reroofing of my front (loft) and back roofs and unfortunately yesterday I happened to notice that the frames of the new Velux windows where scratched during the installation. One of them quite heavily, the other is barely noticeable.
The windows are very expensive (solar powered, quite big) and I am frustrated about having spent thousands of pounds and keeping them with marks.
Fortunately the roofer is very collaborative: he acknowledged the issue and he is now checking the options to sort the issue.
Anyone here knows if the pine white painted frames can be repainted in a professional way (so that you can't tell they were repainted)? What would you suggest to do?
If the frames have to be changed we need to stop the work, order the new windows and possibly remove also part of the slate work done.
Thanks!

Not sure about that. Contact a Velux specialist. I had one recently to realign one of my brand new windows that had been badly installed cost £160.0

Thanks for the input, so far I am expecting the roofer to discuss with Velux the options, but tomorrow I'll give a call to have some clue. On the website they advertise a kit with a filler and paint, but I am not really keen to have a patchy result on new windows.
Anyone else had a similar issue?0 -
My Velux got marked in a few places when installed. I live with this, because one does not study the Velux, but instead focus on other issues.
You also have to be pragmatic and I wonder if you are being over zealous. I say this because my Velux were heavy, the roofer was a one man band, and he installed them at an absurdly low price. Also, I supplied the Velux, so the risk was with me, and it follows I had no reasonable grounds to complain about matters. The chap was trying his best.0 -
A cosmetic repair will be possible
Magicman or localHi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure0 -
If it's paint finished then fill, rub down and redecorate the whole frame. Will be uniform if done right.
If it's prefinished slightly trickier, speak to magic man as andyhop has said.0 -
Eventually the scratched window was replaced, by recommendation of Velux.
But I wasn't aware about Magicman, looking at the pictures on their website it seems they can really do some magic with veener, tiles and wood. Thanks for the hint!
@Furts, appreciate your point, but the damage was not minor and the house has been just renovated.0
