Even something simple as Microsoft word can do this. Whatever wordprocessor you have, there will be an option to change the page size to an envelope (or you can change it to a custom size). Then just copy and paste your image.
Printing will be slightly trickier as you need to work out which way round the envelope should face (ie flap facing up or down, and to left or right). You may need to trial run a few envelopes to work this out.
I imagine most printers have manual feed slots. These allow paper to pass in a relatively straight line through the printer. But not all printers do and some will make the envelope travel through a curved path which could introduce creases into the envelope.0 -
Maybe print on a label and stick that on the envelope. It will be cheaper to buy a few sheets of labels (and they are available in very large or very small to suit your needs) rather than waste envelopes.0

I usually use a piece of scrap paper for this - cut to size. Just draw on it to indicate the front/back/top edge etc. Saves wasting envelopes.
Depending on the OP's requirements either MS Word or MS Excel could be used, or at a push MS Paint. All of them have the ability to set paper size. Where line-up is critical, Paint can be extremely useful.0 -
Designing it is simple as already stated, using MS Word etc. The tricky bit is printing it depending on how good your printer is. I tried printing envelopes years ago on an old Lexmark inkjet printer and results were never good, always ended up lopsided or crumpled up by the printer.
Things might have improved these days but I've not had a Inkjet printer for years.0 -
We use Microsoft Word, its really easy to use and layout. We had a few issues with the image first off, however changed the word wrap and dragged it to the position we wanted.0

Paint... Free with windows. The software doesnt care what your going to print on.
Or paint.net if you want something better but still free.
Set the page size the same as the envelope.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
Not sure why you need paint. Graphics drop straight into Word docs0
